Natural Cures For Infertility
Bringing a bundle of joy into the world is not as easy as it seems for everyone. Interfering with the natural course of conception, fertility issues affect both men and women. For example, according to the Center of Disease Control and Prevention, more than 7 million women between the ages of 15 to 44 possess an impaired ability to have children. Today, many people are considering natural cures for infertility to increase their chances of having a baby.

Common Fertility Issues
While some people face unexplained fertility issues, the following factors and medical concerns illustrate some of the most common (and surprising) causes of infertility [1]:
• Endometriosis: Condition where tiny patches of tissue lining the uterus start compromising other areas of the pelvis, such as the fallopian tubes and ovaries.
• Premature Ovarian Failure: Follicles are lost or damaged – negatively affecting your chances of getting pregnant.
• Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS): A hormonal imbalance can cause irregular ovulation – sometimes triggered by stress or an unhealthy diet.
• Uterine Fibroids: Non-cancerous growths can decrease a woman’s chance of getting pregnant.
• Hormonal Imbalances: Women that exhibit hormonal imbalances, such as male-pattern hair growth on the breasts, upper lip or chin, can suffer fertility issues.
• Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STDs): Fertility is affected by STDs, such as herpes and chlamydia, which can destroy the fallopian tubes in women and scar the ductal system in men.
• Sperm Allergy: Affecting men and women, an allergy to sperm can actually prevent couples from successfully getting pregnant.
Other factors that affect fertility include thyroid conditions, chemotherapy treatments, irregular menstruation, exposure to toxic chemicals and substances (like lead), Crohn’s disease, and infections.
Infertility Natural Cures
The human body is a complicated machine with many illnesses, intricacies, and conditions that can disrupt its normal processes and functions. When it comes to conceiving a child, it takes the magic of two healthy reproductive systems. Sometimes, natural cures for infertility can help overcome the many obstacles that a couple may encounter along the way. A few suggestions include:
a) Saw Palmetto:
Working to increase the sexual stamina in men, saw palmetto is a tonic herb believed to enhance potency and effectively stimulate the male sexual organs. Take ½ teaspoon of tincture with a glass of water for up to three times per day for up to six weeks.
b) Withania:
If you’ve suffered a long-term illness or battle ongoing stress, men can use withania to restore their normal vitality. Consume two grams of dried root on a daily basis. Some people chew the root, while others mix the powdered form with honey and water. This remedy can be taken for up to six weeks.
c) Schisandra:
Schisandra berries have a reputation for enhancing the sexuality of a male. The berries can also be used to boost the sex drive in a woman. In some people, taking this remedy for 100 days is needed to see true results.
d) Egg Whites:
According to a fertility specialist at Emory University, using egg whites as a vaginal lubricant may encourage conception. The best results come when used during the first few days each month when a woman is most fertile. Keep in mind, if you are allergic to eggs, do not use this natural cure for infertility issues.
e) Chinese Angelica:
Women can add 12 grams of Chinese angelica root to 750 milliliters of water to create a decoction that promotes conception. The remedy is taken each day for up to three months. Tablets are another way to take Chinese angelica. Make sure to discontinue this remedy if you become pregnant.
f) Red Clover Blossoms:
Possessing a high vitamin and protein content, this herb works wonders on the fertility of women by focusing on the uterus. Calcium and magnesium in the blossoms also relax the nervous system, which is known to encourage fertility. Daily use can lead to a balance amongst hormones. It is suggested to drink one or more cups of infusion every day for several months. You may obtain dried blossoms at the local health food store.
g) Ginseng:
For men, ginseng is known as one of the best natural cures for impotence and premature ejaculation [2]. Chew the root, take the tablet form, or add to soups and other dishes. A suggested dosage is ½ to 1 gram taken up to three times per day.
h) Oysters:
Men can increase their sperm count by increasing the amount of zinc in their diet, as this popular seafood treat (and known aphrodisiac) delivers an excellent source of zinc.
i) Agnus Castus:
Women may aid conception by adding 20 to 40 drops of tincture to a glass of water and take first thing in the morning. Do not exceed a period of three months at a time when taking this natural cure.
j) Dong Quai:
Between the days of ovulation and menstruation, women can take dong quai to promote fertility. This herb belongs to the celery family and is native to China, Japan, and Korea.
