I was wondering if you have any info on how the body might retain zinc and other minerals.

My daughter suffers from serious depression and other mental health issues and zinc and other mineral deficiency may be a cause.

A local doctor (GP) has had success in prescribing various minerals. He tests the patients for various mineral levels and has found a correlation between lack of various minerals and the specific mental disorder symptons of the patients.

Several years ago he prescribed compounds of various minerals including zinc for my daughter. Even though she took high doses her levels of zinc and the other minerals did not increase above the very low levels she had initially. I’m wondering if there is a catalyst or other way to absorb and retain the minerals.
